STAIN SAR Kepri Receives National Award for Highest Increase in Applicants for UM-PTKIN 2025 in the STAIN Category

Bintan, Kampus Bersendikan Wahyu Berteraskan Ilmu  -The State Islamic College (Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri – STAIN) Sultan Abdurrahman Riau Islands has once again achieved a proud milestone at the national level. During the National Graduation Session of the 2025 State Islamic Higher Education Entrance Exam (UM-PTKIN), held from 24–26 June 2025 at Hotel Vertu Harmoni, Jakarta, STAIN SAR Kepri was awarded First Place in the STAIN Category for achieving the highest national increase in applicant numbers.

This achievement places STAIN SAR Kepri among the PTKINs (State Islamic Higher Education Institutions) with the most significant growth in interest among all UM-PTKIN 2025 participants. It is seen as a clear indicator of growing public trust in the quality of academic services, the inclusive campus environment, and the effectiveness of institutional promotion strategies implemented collaboratively and sustainably.

The Chairperson of STAIN SAR Kepri, Dr H. Muhammad Faisal, M.Ag., who was present at the national forum, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the hard work of the entire academic community.

“Alhamdulillah, this achievement is the result of a collective effort by the entire STAIN SAR Kepri family—from the leadership, the local UM-PTKIN committee, heads of study programmes, academic and administrative staff, to the students who served as campus ambassadors within their communities. We dedicate this award to everyone who has supported our new student recruitment and promotion with full dedication,” said Dr Faisal.

The Head of Academic Services Subdivision, Dvi Afriansyah, S.Pd.I., also affirmed that this accomplishment reflects the strategic synergy of all campus elements.

“This success is thanks to the active roles of the Chairperson, leadership, lecturers, staff, and students who have directly or indirectly contributed to promoting the institution. A heartfelt thank you to the entire academic community of STAIN SAR Kepri,” he stated on Thursday (26 June 2025).

UM-PTKIN is a national selection route based on an Electronic Selection System (SSE), participated in by thousands of applicants from across Indonesia. In this 2025 round, STAIN SAR Kepri recorded a significant increase in applicant numbers, marking a strong signal of public confidence in the quality and prospects of Islamic higher education in the Riau Islands.

This achievement reinforces STAIN SAR Kepri’s commitment to providing excellent, inclusive, and adaptive Islamic higher education in line with contemporary needs.
